Mission Statement:
The purpose is to enrich the lives of many in the Amsterdam community
through reading and related activities thereby enhancing literacy and a
sense of community and promoting the Amsterdam Free Library.

(snow date January 29) -
World War II at Home and Overseas - A round table discussion
with World War II veterans and civilians. At the Century Club,
130 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York. Bob Cudmore from WVTL,
Steve Fitz, Bob Going, and Rob von Hasseln will be part of the
program. The program is free to the whole community. Desert will
be served at the event.
March 4
(NO snow date) -
Book Discussion of Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (This is
the book Amsterdam READS is encouraging the whole community to
read.)
Location: Amsterdam Free Library
Time: 2 pm
May 2012 a trip to the USS Slater and other places
